This Privacy Policy describes how Relationship Edge (“we”, “our”, “the app”) handles your information.

Summary

Relationship Edge is designed with privacy at its core. Your personal data stays on your device. We collect anonymous analytics to improve the app. We do not sell, share, or link any data to your identity.

What Data Stays on Your Device

All of your personal data is stored locally on your device using localStorage. This includes:

  • Your name and your partner's name
  • Relationship stage and assessment scores
  • Mission completions, streaks, and notes
  • Custom paths you create
  • Achievements and progress
  • Premium subscription status

This data never leaves your device. There is no account, no server, and no cloud sync. If you delete the app, this data is permanently erased.

What We Collect (Anonymous Analytics)

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics. This helps us understand how the app is used and where to improve. We collect:

  • App opens, screen views, and feature usage
  • Onboarding completion rates
  • Mission and path completion counts (not content)
  • Subscription events (purchase started, completed, cancelled)
  • Device type, OS version, and screen size
  • Approximate location (country and city, inferred from IP address)

All analytics are anonymous. We generate a random identifier (UUID) that is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any personal information.

What We Do Not Collect

  • Names, partner names, or any text you enter
  • Mission titles, descriptions, or notes
  • Photos, contacts, or location (GPS)
  • Apple ID, email address, or phone number
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
  • Cross-app or cross-site tracking data

App Tracking Transparency

Relationship Edge does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use Apple's IDFA or any advertising identifiers. The App Tracking Transparency prompt is not required and will never appear.

In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases (monthly and yearly) are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to validate subscription status. RevenueCat receives transaction data from Apple but does not receive your name, email, or any personal information from our app. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.

Children's Privacy

Relationship Edge is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Data Retention

  • On-device data: retained until you delete the app or clear data within the app
  • Anonymous analytics: retained for up to 1 year, then automatically deleted

Your Choices

  • Delete your data: Use the “Clear Data” option in the app, or delete the app entirely.
  • Restore purchases: Use the “Restore Purchases” button in your profile to recover a subscription on a new device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
